Stacey Abrams, self-touted “real” governor of the great State of Georgia. And she believes it with every 400 lbs. of her being.
That about sums up the “fat lady” that still claims she won the 2018 Georgia gubernatorial election, even though she had tens of thousands less votes than the man that actually won the vote, Brian Kemp. And in the next sentence she’ll tell you about all the racist policies that Georgia has in effect to keep people from voting.
Things like extended voting hours, free State ID, more polling sites, not feeding people waiting to vote, not providing liquid refreshment to potential voters, not providing buses/taxis to take blacks to the polling sites, etc. These are Georgia State implemented impediments to voting according to Abrams.
And she claims that there are millions of ‘white mens’ out there in Georgia that are physically attacking and preventing black voters from going to the polls.
President Biden even weighed in and slammed Georgia’s voter laws as “Jim Crow 2.0” and totally racist and he instructed the DOJ to give her all the assistance they can in her lawsuit. That’s the view from the Socialist side of the aisle in America.
But then, reality set in.
U.S. District Judge Steve Jones, an Obama appointee, found that “although Georgia’s election system is not perfect, the challenged practices violate neither the Constitution nor the VRA (Voting Rights Act),” according to a copy of the 288-page court decision that was shared by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
the DoJ and Fair Fight Action, an affiliate of the Abrams-founded PAC Fair Fight, claimed in a 2018 lawsuit numerous “serious and unconstitutional flaws in Georgia’s election process” related to absentee ballots, voter registration, and voter list management.
Abrams contended that Georgia’s voting laws are specifically designed to keep “racial minorities” from voting. Abrams states that there are “long lines”, not enough “voting machines”, “inadequate poll worker training”, “ballot rejections” based on the person’s race, and “large-scale voter registration cancellations”.
Nothing more than lies as most of the claims have been determined to be lies and have been tossed out by judges over the past 4 years. Yet Abrams still claims that Brian Kemp personally suppressed black votes to gain victory in 2018.
Of course, Abrams could provide zero evidence of any of her claims. She claims hundreds of thousands of blacks in Georgia were and still are being denied their right to vote in elections.
Abrams claims that in Georgia, blacks don’t have access to the internet like they do in the other 49 states. And IF they are lucky enough to be one of the 300 blacks in Georgia that DO have internet access, they don’t know how to use a computer.
She also concluded that expecting a black person to take one hour out of every four years to vote is racist.
4 years later Abrams cannot produce a single person that claims they were denied their right to vote. NOT ONE! But that doesn’t stop Abrams from continuing to lie.
In Abram’s lawsuit, she demanded that:
- Georgia must provide cold bottled water to black people waiting to vote
- Georgia must provide sustenance (food) to black people waiting to vote
- Georgia cannot force black people to provide a photo ID or voter registration documents to allow them to vote.
- Georgia must provide more voting machines and poll workers to assist black voters that don’t know how to vote
Of course, Abrams immediately blamed racism for her loss. She views everything through a racial lens, even food and water.
FACT: African-American turnout in the 2018 Georgia election was 22% higher than any other primary election except for the 2020 presidential primary.
Voter suppression? Really Stacey?
