Joe Biden, a man of many talents. CEO, 18-wheel truck driver, coal miner, protested with MLK and with Nelson Mandela, and now a self-professed weapons expert. And he still has time to eat 3 meals and go to the bathroom 4 times a day, 2 of which he actually makes it to the toilet.
Biden, during a Sunday interview with NowThisNews, informed the host that he’s proposing legislation to limit gun owners to not be able to have more than “eight bullets in a round.”
For you non-gun people, a bullet IS a round, and a round IS a bullet. Single bullet = 1 round and vice versa. But don’t tell the US President that or he’ll undoubtedly get angry and shout and point his stubby index finger at you.
His knowledge of weapons goes far beyond how many bullets are in a round.
He also reiterated that the bullet from an AR-15 “travels five times the speed of an ordinary bullet.” Again for you non-gun people out there, this is 100% false. The AR-15 has a muzzle velocity in the middle of the range for rifles and is slower than many handguns.
The AR-15 (5.56mm) replaced the M-14 (7.62mm) during the Vietnam war because the US needed a rifle that would fire when wet, muddy, etc., and that was smaller and lighter than the M-14. The AR-15 is simply a modified Remington 223 rifle, a mainstay of hunters for decades.
M-14 – 7.62MM – 2800 fps
AR-15 – 5.56mm – 3,251 fps
That is not 5 times faster than. That is precisely 16.1071428571% faster than the more deadly rifle it replaced. 16%, not 500% Mr. Biden.
Remember a few years ago when his Fraudulency Biden gave advice to homeowners on how to ward off intruders from their home and property? He was a huge gun proponent then. Let us refresh your memory.
In a 2013 interview with Parents magazine, Biden said that if your home was threatened the way to handle it was to “just walk out on the balcony here or walk out, put that double-barrel shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house.”
Now that’s science that 100% absolutely works!
Biden loves to use the term “assault weapon” or “assault rifle” when describing the AR-15. Yet he never called the M-14 an assault rifle or weapon. Not once, ever.
So why is the AR-15 an assault weapon? Is it the stock? The barrel? The size of the round? The sights? The muzzle? What and why?
None of the above is the correct answer. An AR-15 becomes an assault weapon when it is used to assault somebody, just as a baseball bat, knife, or fists should be.
Just like a baseball bat is just that until you use it to bash someone’s brains in. Then it becomes an “assault bat” doesn’t it? No.
A knife is just a knife until you use it to slice someone throat in anger. The doesn’t it become an “assault knife”? No.
When someone is beaten to death at the hands of another we never hear the term “assault fist” or “assault hands” do we?
But just the mere presence of the AR-15 earns it the right to be labeled an “assault weapon”?
Where is the logic in that when more people are killed by knives than an AR-15. More people are killed by hammers than an AR-15. More people are killed with bare fists and hands than with the AR-15. More people are killed by baseball bats then an AR-15. Those are the facts.
Logic must replace emotion at some point in this silly argument. It’s NOT the weapon. It’s the person.
