We may as well give up our Constitution, replace the Stars & Bars in favor of a red flag w/ yellow hammer & sickle, and change the office of POTUS to Supreme Chairman of the United Socialist States of America (USSA).
Biden is working towards all three as quickly as is humanly possible and with Mitch “The Bitch” McConnell’s assistance we’re getting closer every day.
Brittney Griner, a convicted drug smuggler, was exchanged for the “Merchant of Death”, Viktor Bout, while Biden again left U.S. Marine veteran Paul Whelan to rot in a Russian prison. Bout, a notorious arms dealer, terrorist, and spy, was sentenced to 15 years for espionage and plotting to kill Americans. Griner was sentenced to 9 years for violating Russian drug laws and attempting to smuggle drugs into Russia.
Whelan was arrested in retaliation for the Bout arrest and has no connection to the intelligence agencies of the US. He was a U.S. businessman, not a military/intelligence asset.
Biden also did not press for Mr. Whelan’s release in an earlier prisoner exchange in April of 2022. He allows him to languish in a Russian hellhole without his government caring.
I don’t care that Griner is Black, racist, gay, virulently anti-American and has made millions playing a game. But I’m offended that she gets preferential treatment because she’s Black, racist, gay, and/or virulently anti-American. She knowingly did the crime. Let her do the time. Of course, we should work to get her out but not at the expense of an innocent civilian working American, white, pro-American, Marine veteran, that had committed no offense.
Granted, 9 years for a marijuana violation is somewhat extreme, unless you live in Texas or numerous other US states and a majority of the countries in the world. It is a crime in most places, and we need to respect (respect, got that Brittney?) other countries laws and customs when we go their country. Take a joint into Japan and you’ll see extreme.
