You can’t make this stuff up, and nobody would believe you if you did.
The North Bristol National Health Services Trust in the United Kingdom have declared that Christian beliefs are “incompatible with human dignity”, and more so when they refer to both Islam and marriage.
The NBNHST is a part of the national health care system in the U.K. and is not allowed nor able to create its own policy. They follow a manual to operate by, with cost/benefit analysis at the heart of every medical decision.
This discrimination by the Health Services Trust was realized due to a lawsuit brought by a former employee who alleges he was discriminated against, victimized, and harassed because of his Christian faith.
He was employed at Southmead Hospital in Bristol, where he was an electrician. Before hiring on at Southmead, he was in the British Armed Services for 11 years, including service with the venerable SAS.
His belief in a biological gender and an innocuous reference about a Muslim youth scouting leader wearing a veil was not protected speech under the law according to NBNHST.
They ordered him to undergo equality and diversity indoctrination educational/indoctrination classes.
After repeated harassment, complaints, and a campaign of intimidation the gentleman decided he had had enough and he resigned his position and sued the NBNHST.
We hope he wins enough to purchase the hospital and fire the administrators.
